Creating a legacy is a never-ending process of mastering imperfection.

The long-lasting impact of particular events, actions, etc. that took place in the past, or of a person’s life. This is the definition of the word ‘legacy.’ When a child is born, they are completely unaware of the world they are entering and the challenges they will eventually face in their lives. The miracle of birth is that a family is blessed with the opportunity to raise a new generation of leaders who will carry on their legacy. When a child is born, they are completely unaware of the world they are entering and the challenges they will eventually face in their lives.

One of my favorite scenes in the iconic movie ROOTS is the naming scene, where infant, Kunta is held aloft to the heavens by his father, Omoro. As the ritual goes, while lifting the newborn to the sky words to the following effect are exclaimed… “Behold, the only thing greater than yourself!”

This powerful scene captures the essence of human reproduction, which is considered as one of God’s greatest creations. Every century, exceptional individuals with long-term vision and generational wealth are born. These rare species of humans tread on an illuminated path of unconventional ambition and fearless vision, leaving an enduring legacy behind. They view everything with a third eye and take calculated steps toward achieving their goals. They measure twice and cut once before making any final decisions.
